Wind Chill

The formula for calculating windchill:

C=35.74 + 0.6215t – 35.74 v(4/25) + 0.4275tv(4/25) (the fraction 4/25 is the power of v; this blog won't allow me to write it as a superscript) where C is the windchill in degrees Fahrenheit, t is the air temperature in degrees Fahrenheit, and v is the wind speed in miles per hour.

In English, Windchill equals 35.74 plus 0.6215 times air temperature minus 35.74 times wind speed raised to the 4/25 power plus 0.4275 times temperature times wind speed raised to the 4/25 power.

Isn't that cool? (no pun intended...)

Never pass up an opportunity to pun. As Hamlet might have said to Ophelia,

"Get thee to a punnery!"
